Antiques Show

Dearly Beloved, this weekend's adventure brought us to Brimfield, Mass. Home of the worlds largest antiques show. It was, in a word, overwhelming. This small town of 2,000 swells to 30,000 on peak show days. There are over 5,000 antiques dealers that come from all over the world to sell their wares.
There are some phenominal bargains, some outrageous oddities and in between a whole lot of "dickering" (haggling over the price, see proverbs 20:14).
Empty fields become cities of white tents filled with gypsy-like vendors travelling from show to show, selling everything you can imagine. We picked up a few items of furniture and some odd collectibles.
We also did an enourmous amount of walking. Though the whole show encompases just one mile of street, each field is hundreds of yards deep with tents side to side and back to back. These pictures show just a smattering of what we found.
